Oh boy(s)! Elijah is totally a daredevil. He has learned to climb up onto the couch, and is now trying to climb over the back of the couch. The other day, I was replying to an e-mail when up pops a little head beside me. I thought "Elijah's not this tall", and looked down to see that he had pushed the potty next to me, and was standing on the back of it. We haven't had any bad falls, yet, but given his "no fear" attitude, I'm afraid they're on their way.

Oh, yeah, the couch. We're constantly trying to prevent babies from diving over the couch and onto the floor. The other night we failed to grab Sira's ankle at the last minute and *crash*, right to the wood floor (bad papa that time and boy did he get it from me!). Hardly a day went by last week without a bleeding lip. Unfortunately, I'm serious (no broken teeth yet which would break my heart!). What can I say, with three someone's always in the way and the other gets toppled over accidentally. It's always fun until somebody gets hurt :).

My son (now nearly 14) had a similar little rocking chair. We finally had to put it away until he got older. Not only did he hurt himself on it several times but he eventually started using it for evil. He pushed it around the house and used it as a step stool for things out of his reach.

I see my friend Gina has been out here commenting (I will take credit for giving her the link to your site).

My David (who will be 3 next month), is just totally like that! My older girls were nothing like that but David and his twin sister are total daredevils.

Just remember, you're allowing him to e-x-p-l-o-r-e his surroundings, which is a good-mom thing.

You'd think it's a boy thing, this daredevil atttitude, but my 9 1/2 month old baby girl could give Bereket a run for his money :)
BTW< your SW doesn't have your blog link does she/he? LOL
