Come and meet . . .

. . . my dancing feet. Care to guess which set of gams belongs to me?

Is 39 too old for chorus girl? Hell, I guess not since I'm just getting started. And when you got my legs and move them like I do, I should be playing a bigger role in our community theater production of 42nd Street (uh-hum, snap to those who decided). Actually I feel a little more like this when I'm all prettied up for the stage:

OK so maybe there is an upper age limit on what is right. I'm tired, cranky, I miss getting fat on the couch with my kids, I missed most of American Idol and I'll miss So You Think You Can Dance, my ego hurts, my feet hurt, my brain hurts (I've killed a heck of a lot more brain cells than these 20-somethings, so give me a break). But as silly as it sounds, and it is silly, I'm indulging a dream I've had since I was little: to sing and dance in a musical production. And this is a good one. It'll all be over at the close of June. All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up. After this I may just cram all my dreams down the throats of my boys. Come on boys, pick up those feet and lay 'em down.

Hells no 39 is not too old!! I was in 42nd street in high school and it was a blast. I am starting back again in the fall : )

As long as your legs are willing and able I'd say you're never too old. You are inspiring my legs to move. Looks like a lot of fun though I imagine you are beat after rehearsals.

I look at Valarie Bertinelli now and think - it is never too late to get fit and fabulous. There is hope for even my jello legs :)

You really need to post a video girl! I want to see your legs in action.

Knock 'em dead, Cindy! My advice - don't schedule anything else important or the week of your shows. Smiley was in 3 minutes of a two hour recital and it totally took over our lives - I totally dropped the ball on everything we had going that week. It was stressful but fun. Have a great time!!!

PS There was a 6 or 7ish little boy who was "the" boy all the girls were jazz dancing around to "How Will I Know" by Whitney Houston for another performance at her recital. I could totally picture one of your boys (or all three) as him in a few years ;)

How cool are you?!? I think it is a fabulous idea and I am sure that you will never regret it.

And, look at those boys. So much hair is growing in Kansas these days. :)

Aren't you going to tell us which feet are yours? I too want to see a video. Congratulations on following your dream.

I picked out 2 or 3 great sets of legs, but I have no idea which are yours (and I'm her mama!)... We'll be seeing you and the boys soon! Can't wait!

At the risk of somebody saying, "eww, chubby legs", mine are the 5th ones in from the left (black micro-mini, in between black pants and silver skirt). :)

A video? No way! haha!

Chubby? No way! You have great legs.

No bruises, remnants of toddler nose kisses or embedded mulch chunks? Do tell how you escape those.

Have a great run!

You can't see Tsega's cute face, but his hand are stretched out as if he is belting out a song?

Never too old. Come over to The Big Woo and check out my flamenco scene. I turn 40 next Saturday. Keep tappin!

So glad you made it to the big time. Glad I had a small part in helping you achieve that goal.
