From hell.
What was I thinking?! I hand over a set of (hard metal) bells to three year old triplet boys? (They love them!) Grandma "nanacake" held her ears shut and looked like she was going to be sick. And now Jerry's banned them (the colorful dents on the back door, not good). Warning, these bells require strict supervision, healthy ears, and the outdoors. Not to be used for banging on things or as weapons. And the craziness does not stop there. For Christmas the boys are getting a Remo gathering drum (extra sticks of course!),
play piano, and a guitar. I picked up the bells from Hobby Lobby on a whim. Let's get loud!

WOW! That is some (loud) and talented "belling"!
Yikes - those bells would give me a serious headache very quickly!! Hope the other instruments are more pleasing to the ear of the adults...
Ah creative noise! May the beat go on. Well, in your case - on and on and on :)
So very brave of you. Just a reminder :) - the bilibo works great as a drum too!
Loud, yes! They do seem to be having an awful lot of fun!
So joyous and festive! I love the bells!
fun! I am considering the gathering drum, too! Hmm, I wonder if I should remove the bells from Mamush's wish list we gave to his grandparents...oh boy!
Someday, we should certainly talk. How in the world can I correct the behavior of one baby without making the object of their misbehavior seem super exciting to the other two!? The minute I say, "Tari, no smacking your brothers in the head with a toy...." the brothers get half-smiles and ornery eyes and look for big heavy things to bang on their nearest sibling's head!? Did this happen to you? Does it ever stop....and if so HOW!? WHEN!?
p.s. I love my life. I think triplets are fantastic, and I'm grateful everyday for their sweet awesomeness (head-banging insanity notwithstanding:)
lol...this is totally one of those "you do it to yourself" moments. I understand...we do it to! our guys have some kids remo drums (amazing...a decade old and still like new!) a piano (full size= loud!), guitars and my hubby just got a drum kit...a full size drum kit that's set up in our livingroom 'cause we're crazy like that. One of my fav kids instruments...especially for this age, is boomwhackers...colorful, fun, meant to be hit on stuff and not to loud!! (and can be found at most music stores) http://www.boomwhackers.com/
have fun!!...and maybe handout earplugs to your holiday guests..lol
Oh my goodness - the bells (and the boys playing with the bells, of course) are ADORABLE, but only because I can turn the volume down on my laptop. :)
